7 days of Wellness, Wisdom and Transformation
“Thank you so much to the ever-inspiring Sarah – not only for leading such a wonderful retreat but for helping me overcome fears and push boundaries. I can’t recommend more highly.”
Let your body and mind experience the wonderful and subtle benefits of Yoga and Pilates in a beautiful setting beside the Aegean Sea. Enjoy revitalising swims in crystal clear water and explore the many trails that lead out of Yuva to stunning cliff top views or secluded sandy beaches. Recharge with delicious vegetarian meals made with locally sourced ingredients and prepared with care by the experienced and friendly staff.
It doesn’t matter if you are a complete beginner or seasoned practitioner in Yoga or Pilates, there is always space to grow and allow transformation to blossom. Sometimes we just need a bit of gentle discipline and the right environment to be inspired to get back on track with our health and vitality. Yuva provides a place of serenity to unwind and clear the clutter that clouds our minds and insight.
“Sarah’s energy and intuitive understanding of every pupil’s yoga journey really blew me away. I loved the way she was able to attune to each of us and what we needed. I learnt so much about my body and really appreciated her gentle, yet firm corrections on postures I was trying to hold.”
October is a lovely time of year to be on retreat in Turkey. The temperature is very favourable for being outdoors at midday. It’s still warm but there is no problem of being scorched by the sun on hikes or when lying out on the rocks. Everywhere you go there are incredible aromas of wild sage, thyme, rosemary and pine that purify the senses.
This will be my fifth retreat at Yuva and this year will include morning Pilates sessions alongside Yoga and meditation.
A strong core and good postural alignment will compliment your Yoga practice while specific Pilates exercises will identify and correct any weaknesses and imbalances that can lead to injury and pain if left unchecked. We will use pilates props including balls and bands for added strength and resistance.
For those who want to do more Sadhana (spiritual practice), there will be guided meditation in the morning and at sunset.
- 7.00 am: Sun Salutations, breathing exercises and guided meditation
- 7.50 am: herbal teas and fruit
- 8.15 am: Pilates
- 9.30 am: Breakfast
- Free time hiking, swimming, resting
- 1.30 pm: Lunch or picnic lunch
- Free time to explore or read
- 5.30 pm: Yoga class
- 7.00 pm: Sunset meditation
- 7.30 pm: Supper
Yuva is a vegetarian resort and does not have fish or meat prepared in their kitchen. Eating food that is mostly plant-based gives the entire digestive system a break – you will be amazed at how light and energised you can feel after a week of cutting out complex animal protein. Some milk, cheese and eggs will be served but vegan options are available with prior notice.
“The food was amazingly delicious, the rooms clean and very comfortable, the setting simply stunning! Teaching at its best. I cannot recommend this highly enough.”
Yuva is a private eco-resort 70kms from Dalaman. The port of Fethiye is 30kms away with Ölüdeniz, a place famous for its stunning blue lagoon, mountains and favourable conditions for paragliding, being the nearest town at 15kms.
The Lycian Way, an ancient footpath that begins in Oludeniz, and travels southeast to Antalya passes very close to Yuva. The views are breathtaking but a degree of fitness is recommended as some parts of the longer hikes can be quite strenuous . Don’t worry though, you can still explore the coastline by water-taxi and meet up with the hikers for a picnic lunch.
Accommodation is in Anatolian style houses, with twin or double bedded rooms all nestled in the gardens amongst the mulberry and pine trees. All rooms have showers en-suite with space outside to relax.
Digital Detox: There is some wifi available in parts of the resort but switching off from the outside world is greatly encouraged. We are not just trying to reduce the noise that comes from talking on phones, being on the internet and listening to music but to promote the right environment and energy for the mind to quieten.
Cost: Full board including 3 wellness sessions and 3 meals a day is £720 based on 2 people sharing. There is a £130 single room supplement.
A £200 deposit is payable on booking with the outstanding amount due 4 weeks before departure.

The closest airport to Yuva is Dalaman approximately 90 minutes from the resort. There are many direct flights from the UK with EasyJet, Thomas Cook, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, TUI and British Airways.
Airport transfers are organised through Yuva with a safe and reliable company once I have your flight details.
Visa: Please buy your Turkish visa online here before you leave. It will be much cheaper although it is possible to purchase on landing in Dalaman.
